Huber Building
Just before the turn of the century, the original Huber building was constructed. You can see a photo of it located at the corner of West Broad and South Broad (now South Main Street and First Avenue SW). It housed the Henry Murphy and Charlie Batey merchandising store (on the corner), and the R. L. Stokes Shoe Store. Upstairs were the offices of W. A. Covington and John Smithwick, lawyers, and Dr. W. A. Blasingame Sr., dentist.

Susan Newton conducted research on this building as part of the NSCDA-GA Moultrie Town Committee’s project for America’s 250th birthday. If you have a photo you think would look good on this page, or have missing information, please email mediarequest@moultriega.com.
